Philippians was written by the Apostle Paul, most likely from Rome while he was under house arrest
Written to the church at Philippi, which is located in northern Greece
c. 61 A.D.
Paul wrote Philippians to thank his friends in Philippi for the offering they sent him, to deal with some minor disunity that was brewing in the church, and to encourage the disciples there to center their whole life on living for Jesus and the gospel.
